OK so im one year out from Knee Surgery, and during my rehab I decided that i was going to learn how to properly do Olympic lifts since its something Ive never done and Ive always wanted to.... My first goal was to do a Correct Clean but the problem was, other then I just had knee surgery, was I never front squatted before so i had no idea how to do it or how to rack the bar on my chest... also, my hips are jacked up so i squat too narrow... and I never really squatted lower then parallel so my strength below 90 was disproportionate as hell... only thing I really had going for me was I already had a pretty beastly dead lift. All summer I trained the compulsory exercises to make this lift a reality... and I really had to throw my ego out the door because half the summer the girls I was training with were front squatting deeper and heavier then me!!! LOL. Over the course I widened my foot position by 6 inches, balanced my strength below parallel and increased my hip flexibility and got myself ass to floor in the squat! Last week was my first EVER attempt at a clean and I know its not heavy (Only 135lbs) and it looks ugly as hell but I busted my ass for over 6 months to make this happen and Im super proud of myself!!! I know the rack is terrible and I have to learn to fix it so i can move on to my next goal... Clean & Jerk... Thanks to everyone who taught and helped me Joey Mack, Zack Schroeder, Darin Olien, Sean Moffitt https://youtube/watch?v=oPBXQBbXhYA&feature=youtu.be
