OK, so most people know how much I need to make some money. Im so cash poor that Id have to earn a lot more to earn the equivalent of Bob Cratchets salary. (OK maybe not quite that bad lol). But with me needing to buy hay really soon, and Luna having a farrier appointment on the 22nd, my money troubles have been swirling in my head non stop for awhile now. Then this afternoon I get a call from work and its one of those calls that are good, but yet not so good. A fellow Reader had gotten in a car accident on her way to work this morning. She lay there, in her crumpled car, for 90 minutes before she was found and air lifted to Vancouvers hospital. She will be out of work for two weeks. She told work to give me her days work. I want work, but not like this! This is like something out of The Monkeys Paw story. I feel terrible shes hurt, and I know I didnt do anything to cause her accident, but it still makes me feel funny to benefit from her misfortune. I dont know what to do. I have till noon tomorrow, when I show up for my scheduled shift, to let management know what days I will take. Im honoured she thought of me, to tell them to give me her days, but...this just feels so icky. Not sure what to think, or how to feel. Sorry for rambling, I just had to share my predicament.
