OK, so the meeting this week really didnt happen, as the only person who was able to make it was Cally Ann (to whom Id like to give a big thank you to, as your insight was invaluable). As most of the items on the agenda really needed group discussion and input from 4-5 people at least, we mainly focused on revamping flyer design. Seeing as I have not one artistic bone in my body, Cally has graciously offered to take the basic designs we drew up and make it visually appealing. At this point, Im not seeing us being able to register as an official student group until January. My thoughts are to use the winter break to get everything lined up and finalized, and become official at the start of the year. That said, Im thinking our next meeting would tentatively be scheduled for the week AFTER finals - this way, the pressures of the last few weeks of class (which are almost always the hardest) will not be affecting people and we can hopefully have more people attend the next meeting. The only other option would be during the Thanksgiving break, but as people may be traveling out of town, that seems like a bad idea (I also dont want to interrupt anyones Turkey Day celebrations). Ill be setting up a Doodle survey soon to get the best days and relative times for everyone during the week after finals, unless there is an objection. We are close to getting things set up - we just need to keep at it and not lose our focus on the goal.
