OK, this is the last long post... For those who claim Scotland neither wants, not deserves this Referendum, for those who argue we will be throwing away the union on a whim, a little history. 1950: TWO MILLION signatures on the Scottish Covenant - ignored; 1979: A majority Yes vote for a Scottish Assembly - scuppered; 1997: A majority Yes, Yes vote for a Scottish Parliament with devolved powers - enacted; 2011: A landslide SNP victory in Scottish Parliamentary election - secured; 2012: The Edinburgh Agreement to hold a Referendum on Scottish independence - signed; 18th Sept 2014: Should Scotland be an independent country? - affirmed...? This is no flash in the pan measure foisted on Scotland, it is the result a long, determined democratic process fighting against the system, but within it. We are entitled to this opportunity because it has been hard-won through many years of dialogue, discourse and tireless campaigning. Thats why Westminster finds the Yes Movement so hard to undermine - no bombs, no bullets, just the ardent, articulate, positive expression of democracy. Two More Days! This is our moment - VOTE YES!
