OK, unfriend me if this annoys you, but I am about to rant. My daughter is having trouble finding places that will allow me to minister in the new year...and I cant figure out why? Do you guys hate the new music? Have you even listened to it? Why arent any of my friends buying it when its the best Ive ever done, and being offered for practically nothing? I love the unique calling I have been given, and expect to receive a large reward in the age to come, because I certainly havent cashed in on this earth. There are a very few individuals and congregations that regularly bless my family, whom I am eternally grateful for, and certainly could not have survived without. But please allow me to recap a few accomplishments of Ted Pearce Ministries that happen without ever having the help of a staff.... Ive played a crucial part in launching March of Remembrance in the USA, and also March of Life in Europe. Together with so many of you, and the sacrifices of my dear German friends, weve organized tens of thousands of ordinary saints to take a very public stand (every year since 2007 in hundreds of cities/nations) against anti-semitism in the church, and we have given Shoah survivors a platform to speak to society at large. In February, we will be recognized by the Knesset for the second time, yet many dont even know its my ministry because I dont demand recognition for it. There is no way to measure the impact it has made in Israel, and the Jewish community in several nations...but I promise you its huge...and Im committed to seeing every Christian in the world observing the Day of Holocaust Remembrance annually, so Jewish people would know the love of their G-d. Additionally, Ive performed and led thousands in worship of the Great King, with thousands of testimonies of drastically changed lives. Ive spent a LOT of time working to encourage/help music teams all over the world. Ive written several dozen songs that teach you (and your children) the Word of God. Yes, upwards of 90% of messianic congregations worldwide use multiple songs of mine every week, written for specifically for our community, and I take great satisfaction in that. ...but I wonder if anyone realizes there is no financial reward, except for offerings in small messianic congregations where I pay the travel expense to go minister in; many of whom dont even allow me the time to mention why they should support TPM with an offering? And instead of going only to places who can afford the (reasonable) guarantees and travel expenses demanded by anyone remotely as popular as my music is, I will go anywhere, asking only for a private place to prepare/sleep. Instead of appreciation for serving these places, I seem to be taken for granted lately. Am I not worth what these places are happy to give worship leaders who wouldnt visit them without a large guarantee and all travel expense covered? It seems that my willingness to sacrifice is being exploited because I make no such demands. Everyone seems to get something from the hard work of my ministry...but its being paid for by my wife and children lacking. This cant continue. Something needs to change drastically. You can help by asking your congregation to invite me to come for a free will love offering (409-679-6257). Maybe buy a few holiday gifts from my website (tedpearce) and tell your friends if you like the music. But please do that soon...I know that most of us are struggling in this economic recovery we keep hearing about....but I wanted to let you know that its getting desperate at the Pearce household. I cant bring my kids to the doctor though theyre sick and it makes me feel completely worthless & irresponsible as a father. Do they have not because I ask not? Thanks for letting me vent.
