OK – I have the key – have signed the lease – I have a new home. Saturday I move in. The living room is small with a little alcove that would serve as a dining room. It has a nice big window overlooking the courtyard. The kitchen is separate and is surprisingly big with a pass through bar to the living room. My bedroom is small as well with a regular closet – not a walk in. It has a window as well but it looks out to the street. My bath has a large shower (tub sized but no tub as it is a handicapped accessible apartment). When I get old and feeble (if you can imagine that) there are pull cords for emergencies! It is a tile floor which is fine – better actually than carpet as far as I am concerned. Here is the good part…… it is on the ground floor looking out into the courtyard so I can step right out into the outside world. A short walk to where I will walk Calhoun for his potty trips and close to the laundry and office as well. The residents have actually started a vegetable garden off to the side near the dog walk area so eventually I can grow veggies and herbs! And I can put plants out in containers right at my door – so I will once more be able to have my little container garden! YAY!!~!
