OKAY ... so, here is an amazing example of news-scrubbing by the right wing conservative noise machine (links to stories in the comments below). Synopsis: kid in high school is learning world history, and as a part of that class is learning about the role of Islam in forming the cultures of the Middle East. Iraq veteran dad jumps in, and recounts telling the school principal: “I told her straight up ‘you could take that Muslim-loving piece of paper and shove it up your white ass. If they can’t practice Christianity in school, they should not be allowed to practice Islam in school.” This and other behavior results in his being banned from setting foot on school grounds. Now take a look at how it was reported in the local news (and Wonkette), vs how it was reported in a right-wing noise-machine (The Daily Signal)...
