OLD ARTICLE SHAMEFUL EPISODES What happens when countless senior Constituent Assembly (CA) members, who are supposed to represent the aspirations of the nation, doze off during meetings on national agendas in the House? (‘Of manners and the CA members,’ April 12, Page 6). On seeing the picture with the article, I was shocked to know that our senior political leaders themselves violated the basic code of conduct for their meetings. Who is responsible for preventing such shameful episodes? In this circumstance, how can our CA members write a constitution within a year? I was surprised to learn that the House session has been put off day after day due to lack of a quorum. I completely fail to understand why our Speaker Subas Nembang himself was helpless in implementing the basic code of conduct in Parliament.
