OLD GLORY Today I saw another upside down flag!! Whenever I see an inverted flag it hurts and depresses me and gives me feelings of defeat. Yes, the upside down flag is for distress when ones life is in danger and signaling for help. So who are they signaling for help when one does this. The liberals and the left love to see anyone disrespect the flag and fly it upside down. Makes them happy and gives them hope! I dont care to make any socialist, communists, progressives or democrats happy by ever doing this to Old Glory. I will always fly her with pride as it represents our Republic, what it stands for and what it was created for. Also it represents the Millions of Americans who gave their lives for what it stands for. There are dozens of other ways to show your anger, discontent ect. without doing this and making the liberals and communists, not to mention our foreign enemies such as Communists nations and Muslims and others who hate our flag, all happy at the same time. To those who do hate our country and our flag which represents it, when they see us conservatives demonstrate or fly an inverted flag it is more like signaling defeat and that you have given up on your country. Ive given up on my government and our politicians in general but our flag has absolutely nothing to do with what we are disappointed in or why we are disappointed so why do people insist on desecrating Old Glory. It is the only single thing in or about our once great country which has not changed in its value or significance. Lets please hang onto this last vestige of pride and hope and grandeur at least. If I see this on someones page It only distresses me greatly and destroys much of my motivation to fight the evil within my country! I dont wish to give pleasure to my enemies. Please, lets have at least one thing left to love about our Nation! In recent years many conservatives copy this liberal left idea meant for disrespecting our flag and nation. Again, except recently because of liberal progressive inventing the idea to show their disrespect to our flag and/or nation, an inverted flag was meant to signal distress also in a way in which the enemy in war time would not understand or notice the signal or they would likely not notice so quickly that the flag was being inverted as a signal. So it can be used as not only a signal for help but as a warning to friendly forces to proceed with caution as the enemy was waiting nearby to surprise friendly forces coming to help. Often when a ship was in danger of sinking and immobile and there was no communications or any other way to signal for help then an inverted flag was used as an option. It is strictly for emergency use and signaling for help and warning. Recently most who do this on the net do it for neither reason and for some reason they think they are accomplishing something profound by doing this and showing their disappointment or alarm. Showing who, alarming who??? Accomplishes what?? If someone can answer these questions or can show me something good which comes from demonstrating an inverted flag then please do and I will try to understand and maybe reconsider my feelings and opinion if there is a good and productive reason for an inverted National Flag. Im open to understand! I can show various ways in which it instead harms our cause to save our country by damaging our unity and our hope and our pride and contrarily strengthens the resolve of our enemies, ect..
