OM NAMO BHAGAVATE VASUDEVAYA Living in a MUSEUM OF ARTIFACTS or a HOUSE OF WORSHIP The Essence of The Srimad Bhagavad Gita may then be important for one to understand on this auspicious day. All of The Srimad Bhagavad Gita and the Battle of Kuru ksetre & Dharma ksetre revolves around the one word - M.A.Y.A. Both, Arjuna and Duryodhana were engrossed in understanding the word M.A.Y.A. Only one was made to understand it as : My.Atman.Your.Atman. = Spiritual awakening [Arjuna] versus My.Assets.Your.Assets. = Material obsessions [Duryodhana]. It is often said that Home is where is the Heart is…..!!!! Also, only a few verses in the Sacred Srimad Bhagavad Gita would let one Know, where HE resides [in our Heart]. Lord Krsna announces to Arjuna. B.G. 18.61 ईश्वरः सर्वभूतानां हृद्देशेऽर्जुन तिष्ठति । भ्रामयन्सर्वभूतानि यन्त्रारूढानि मायया ॥ ६१ ॥ I do reside in everyones Heart as the Atman, and travel in the vehicle of their Human Body - in this Material World…. Material Nature [around us] consists of HIS own Five elements: [Earth, Water, Fire, Air & Space/Ether]. HE used the same FIVE elements to create the Human Body; within which HE resides as an Atman; similar to HIS presence in the Material World as The ONE Supreme ParamAtman……!!! भूमिरापोऽनलो वायुः खं मनो बुद्धिरेव च । अहङ्कार इतीयं मे भिन्ना प्रकृतिरष्टधा ॥ ४ ॥ अपरेयमितस्त्वन्यां प्रकृतिं विद्धि मे पराम् । जीवभूतां महाबाहो ययेदं धार्यते जगत् ॥ ५ ॥ Lord Krsna confirms to Arjuna. B.G. 7.4 & 7.5. Thus, if we as Human Beings are fortunate enough to read, learn, realize, understand, appreciate and enjoy the above - then we have reached our own - Moment of Truth, and life never remains the same; since Peace & Happiness follow and become a part of us..!! Often, we may observe that if one is only engrossed, obsessed, possessed, distressed, depressed, oppressed, mesmerized and immersed Only in the Material Things, Objects and Artifacts we collect in our House - then M.A.Y.A. takes over us - and prevents us from seeing HIM within ourselves and in others too. Then we tend to live our life in a Museum of Artifacts. But, once we are Awake and Self-Realized of HIS Divine presence within us and within those around us - as The Atman and The ParamAtman; then NO more do we live in confusion, innocence, ignorance, illiteracy, ego, greed, life of unending desires. Since, the realization of HIS presence within our own Heart or our own Home [House of Worship]; cleanses the insides and Peace follows & flows around. Thus, one would know that NO more do we live only in a structure in the Material World made up of HIS - Material Five Elements [whether it be our our Home or Human Body] - or Only a Collection or Museum of Artifacts. Arjuna and Duryodhana, both were around Lord Krsna at the same time and for the same amount of Time too. But, Only one took HIM to Heart and kept HIM there; while the other denied and defied HIS presence and powers to be……!!! No wonder Arjuna was enlightened while Duryodhana remained in darkness. FOOD FOR THOUGHT then : Are we really Living only in a: Museum of Artifacts or within a House of Worship…..??? As we live our short-span of life in this age of Kaliyuga, we MUST take time to stop and realize the GIFT of human life that was bestowed upon us - or else we may only remember our lives lived in a - Museum of Artifacts and never understand the meaning of a House of Worship [whether it be the Material world, our Human Body or even our own Home……..!!!!] HARI BOL.
