OMG....................... I just had to do one of the most disgusting things as a mom that I have ever had to do!! THIS IS NOT FOR THE WEAK STOMACHES..SO DO NOT CONTINUE TO READ! My 12 year old son had part of his lung removed this last summer. Well actually both lungs... His incision has since then healed on his back. When we were at a visit w/ St Jude we brought a small bump on the end of one incisions to their attention. It was lighter in color & had a raise to its surface. Surgery clinic took a look at it & decided it was a stitch that would dissolve or eventually work its way out. OK Tonight Spencer comes to my bedroom to tell me that he had an itch on his back and it began to bleed. He said it still itched so I took a look. It was like a huge zit! Ew...... I had to take a warm compress & bring all the infection to the surface. It just kept coming out & smelled soo bad! :/ I cleaned it w/ peroxide & put ant-biotic ointment on it & covered it w/ a huge bandage from St Jude. Spencer said I made him light headed... REALLY ? WHAT ABOUT MOM?? Ahhhh...... a Mothers job is NEVER DONE or truly APPRECIATED! I dont know how people are in the medical field as a living! My stomach is still shook up!! Blahhhh.........
