OMG! Just found out that the doe I sold to a lady in Yahk was attacked by a cougar last week. They caught the cougar, who had her by the head, trying to drag her over the fence. They scared off the cougar and tracked and shot it later. Poor Zippy had punctures in her skull and neck, but survived. Now my son tells me there was one crossing the highway just by our place and the school bus almost hit it the other day.
