OMG our old landlord is STILL trying it! Yall know all the shenanigans we went thru with him. But, not once did we not pay our rent (even when he tacked on more $ when my sister and nephew came to live with us). We paid on time and never complained. Even when we moved out, we made sure the entire apartment was spotless. We didnt have to do that but we did. We believe in treating folks the way we want to be treated. We moved out on February 12th (almost 4 months ago!). He mailed us our security deposit MINUS a slew of charges for cleaning and repairs...we didnt complain. We didnt even contact him when we found out he called the gas company and pretended he was Earl and changed our cut-off date so that he wouldnt be charged after we moved. We let all that slide. So... Why did he just send me a text this morning talking about we owe him money because he had to get the fridge and stove cleaned after we moved out? What the what??? No maam young sir! Lies and garbage! Well, here is the response I sent him: Darwyn, do not contact me again for any reason. You are a despicable person and a horrible human being. Discard whatever you found. We have the most important things we need. One day, you will pay dearly for the dirt that you do and have done. We paid all our debt to you and you STILL screwed us with our security deposit. You know good and damn well that water damage came from the damage to your other tenants apartment upstairs - the damage you refuse to fix. Yes. I saw it. So do not come at me again with your snide little remarks. Just know that we live in another beautiful apt JUST LIKE YOURS and our rent is $225! Continue trying to rent the space - yup, we saw it online and with our plant on the mantel. And if I find that you have used any of our personal information for any reason (like calling Keyspan and changing our move-date), I will immediately seek legal action. Blame someone else for the foolishness.
