OMG talk about freak myself out!...last nite b4 I went to bed I checked on Kiwi in the garage, with just a light behind me, as hed been restless, so while Im settling him I wonder why the charger sitting on the vase is making a tiny crackling sound...I investigate and the powers off...movement still...on go the lights, and see what looks to be a nest...get camera with flash for closer inspection...ok so mouse nest me thinks, then I shake the vase a little...still just a slow bit of movement,, I should not have pondered this...Reason said ok so they got in off the couch...but howd they get back out? Logic said....SPIDER! no way a mouse could get back outta there! and that was it for me, threw a glass baking dish over the top, and the charger ontop just incase! So after a couple of glasses of dutch courage today after work...I took the vase outside and tipped it upside down, the tissue and corks and dead brown beetle fell out, but the plastic bag was filled with something heavy that was stopping it coming through the opening...and it was still moving!...got a long pair of tongs and petrified to the max, pulled out the bag...a little Black Beetle came out 1st and wandered off, I carefully pull the rest of the bag apart to find two long dead mice (logic) & the paper theyd use to line it with had formed a paper mash of the base so it couldnt get through the top! omg at least I saved a beetles life today whilst thinking I was dealing with a really large spider and having a mini hearattack bahahahaha
