OMG this is an absolute disgrace & this twat should be stripped of his mbe! My Dad bought Aikido to the uk in 1962, he was highly respected in the martial arts world, we tried to get him on the honours list after he passed away but it was so complicated we gave up! This is a disgrace to our country, do the royals not research things when people apply? Clearly not!! Maybe if anyone wants to help me we can get Dad on the honours list after all? Dad had schools all over the country & was well known & respected in the martial arts world. He was invited all over the world to teach at aikido & other martial arts schools, even the Ohio Police Dept & United States Air Force Academy. he trained in other martial arts also. He has been invited onto various tv shows inc morning TV, Blue Peter & the Pathe News (you can find these clips online!). He was treasurer & founder member of The Martial Arts Commision. I could not list all of the community events, fetes & charities hes organised demonstrations for or been invited as guest speaker. He has been requested as expert witness in courts. He was awarded 9th Dan (which is the highest grade in Shudokan Aikido) a few years before his death. I could go on & on, my point is how on earth has this unknown person been awarded an mbe but hes not oven known by 2 highly recognised experts in his own martial art? I know the experts in this article but Im damn sure Ive never heard of this mystery man!! PLEASE SHARE...
