OMGOODNESS......I dont even know where 2 begin! Up early 2 head out 2 assist in controlling the Elk population! As SOON as we went through the gate Elk EVERY WHERE! Saw a HUGE herd we couldnt shoot at & in NO time Hubby took the first ole Cow at about 250 yards with his 300 WSM! He says take another 1 down but I told him they were 2 close & I wanted a longer shot! He was a little irritated but took care of his Elk as we listened 2 BIG Bulls bugle, scream, grunt, squeal, fight & tear shit up! Loaded up #1 in the Muddy Girl Toyota & off we went! Saw MANY more small & HUGE herds until Cindy Scott took her AWESOME shot & dumped hers at 150 yards with her 6mm! The others ran a ways & stopped & again Hubby says dump another 1 AGAIN I told him they were 2 close & Id wait 4 a LONG shot! MORE pics & we took care of hers, loaded #2! Hubby was getting pretty IRRITATED at me by then & even though I had my heart SET on an 800 plus shot I said I would take a 600 plus shot! Harry winked at Hubby & said Okay! I said Harry, DONT you dare lie 2 me! It was about an hour till noon & I thought itd be KOOL 2 be DONE by noon! Well, about 11:30 we saw Elk & Harry ranged em & said there ya go Shel......626 yards! I said Harry, you liar! He handed Cin the range finder & SURE enough! We jumped out & set up! Harry dialed in the ole LONG range 300 Win Mag & I took my shot! DROPPED her in her tracks at 626 yards with a neck shot! Now THAT is a shot 2 be PROUD of! We drove 2 the bottom of the hill (nothing better than shooting an Elk on the hill with a road below)! We HIKED up the hill & the Boys drug her 2 the bottom! MORE pics & it probably took me longer 2 field dress her than it did 2 harvest all 3 but I Got Er DONE! We loaded #3 & headed out! Oh but guess what......a flat tire! We were unsuccessful in changing it because of my custom wheels so we had 2 creep along until we found someone with air! We got home, unloaded the 3 BIG ole Cows & the Boys began the WORK while we went 2 fix a tire! Took the boys half the evening 2 skin, rip & hang 3 Elk! Had dinner & we are EXHAUSTED! I THANK God 4 the AMAZINGLY AWESOME UNREAL day we had & providing us with 3 BEAUTIFUL animals 2 eat! That was the BEST Elk hunt Ive ever been on & Ive killed alot of them Bi*ches! We had SO MUCH FUN! Now off 2 bed 2 dream about our day! We BE BAD A$$ Elk huntin BI*CHES! How was your day Robbie DeVore?
