ON A TRAIN OF ASSUMPTIONS:- Now, lets assume President Jonathan really made a trip to Chibok on Friday as speculated by many. Lets assume his Presidential jet landed at Maiduguri or any nearby airport. Lets assume Jonathan was to be ferried to Chibok by a Presidential Chopper. Finally, lets assume the unimaginable that the Chopper was shot and brought down by surface to air missiles from Boko haram and the Presidential body was sent to Bayelsa in a body bag.... Pause... Think well... Imagine the magnitude of the reactions that will follow.... Does anyone remember what started the Rwandan genocide in which over 2 million people were killed?? The Rwandan genocide started after the plane of the President was brought crashing by Tutsi rebels. Assuming such were to happen in Nigeria.... Wait a minute.... Femi Falana called the act an act of cowardice. Of course the President was possibly expected to shun security reports and fly into Borno state. He was expected to show great bravery and courage despite security warning about dangers... If there is something I know about many Nigerians; they are highly EMOTIONAL, yet emotion certainly robs one of common sense! Many who criticize often do it without DEEP REASONING as to the long, medium and long term effects of their actions. Imagine the crisis that will follow any harm to President Jonathan. President Jonathan, I want you to shun the expected PR such visits may give you. Always take actions with reasonable caution and care. You have commandeered the military to perform their duty and you have engaged international support to find our girls... Your daily decisions now certainly will determine if many, including your many critics will see the light of next week or not! Bravery is ONLY bravery when it pays off, whenever brave acts fail, it goes by the term FOOLISHNESS.... Caution, Caution I pray..... 9JA 4 LIFE
