ON DEATH ROW TONITE!! HAS TILL NOON!!! A volunteer writes: I first saw Lisa quietly curled up in a little ball on her bed; her vertebrae poking through a shabby coat and her head resting on her hip bones. Theres really no denying her face. She looks like she is a girl interrupted while getting made up - her bottom lip painted and brown eye shadow over one eye. She has the cutest two-toned pink nose and is always making strong, but soft eye contact. She is very easy to walk on leash, but can sometimes be timid. When we rounded a corner a fire hydrant caused her to pause in her tracks, but with just a little coaxing she checked it out and we continued on our way. If she knows sit I havent figured out her cue for it and when I throw a tennis ball for her Lisa winces a little before watching it roll away. Though it doesnt seem like shes had a lot of attention, Lisa is still incredibly sweet. She is a little shy, but warms up quickly and even shows glimpses of playfulness! She takes treats very softly and has an overall gentleness about her. She often has a low waggy tail and will even give kisses. Even after I put her back Lisa watches me from her cage as I take her neighbors out - she seems so eager to find her person! Its hard not to immediately love the dogs that look like they havent had a lot of it, but Im pretty sure that even 20 pounds from now and with a gleaming coat, Lisa will still be stealing hearts! She is ready to start living the good life - please come meet Lisa at Brooklyn ACC!
