ON January 14, 2015 it will be 10 years since NAN died. ON Wednesday January 14, 2015 I invite you to come celebrate mass at Nativity BVM Church on Rockaway Blvd and 92 street at 9:00 AM with Rudy Garcia and I to remember Nan on her 10th anniversary in Heaven. For some of us still in mourning life has never quite been the same since she left us and there has been a hole in our hearts that enjoyed her company, her stories, her love and companionship, her love of people and most of all her adoption of so many people that she welcomed into her home and adopted them into her life as her adopted grandchildren. Over 150 of my friends grew up in that house from when we were small till her death. If I named them all I would take pages to be able to name all of us that grew up in that house, hung out in the garage, DJ in the yard, partied in the basement, watched TV upstairs, and listened to stories on the 1st floor from her and her mother when she was still alive. As I sit and look at the pictures of the hundreds of parties, B-BQues and just good times in that house. As the day gets closer I will be sharing stories and memories of all the good and bad times that we had in that house and all because 1 woman welcomed everyone in her home and never said no to anyone that entered. Until next week I dedicate this beautiful song to her and all the people that have followed her before and after her death family and friends that we have all lost. This song really says a lot.
