ON OBJECTION OF LEARNING FROM COLLECTIVE WISDOM as “parroted”---एकम् सत्, विप्राः बहुधा वदन्ति. Truth is one, but sages call it by various names. Rig veda. Knowledge (systematic organized information) has always existed in world. It is wise to imbibe form this collective wisdom, than be foolish to outright reject it as “parroted” one. Knowledge has mostly existed in books for centuries, and now is in domain of NET, so little easier to access. Billion dollar question is how to apply your insight on this body of knowledge. Some simpletons love the books, quotes and words of learned spiritual Gurus, and thus share it verbatim. Their simple intention is,” I loved this words and so others may also learn from it.” Some name source of their post and the words in it. That too is fine. Some take help of the body of words and add to it their own interpretation, ad their insight to it and make it more interesting. That too is fine. Most of spiritual Gurus are recycling the age old truths only. After all thinking-feeling, learning people read a lot, ponder a lot, interpret a lot and then recycle eternal truth in their words. That too is fine, because TRUTH is one and expressed by each in their words. As long as aim is to spread the learned knowledge and wisdom for benefit of others it is appreciable.
