ON SEPTEMBER 5, ANOTHER TORNADO IS BORN. Yes I was born - TopicsExpress

ON SEPTEMBER 5, ANOTHER TORNADO IS BORN. Yes I was born September 5. I am the 12 child in a family of 14 children. I understand early September has become tornado season. Several tornadoes have arrived on my birthday. So dont blame me if you check my lifes history and find a pattern of a child who has often found himself stirring up things and often in the eye of the storm. I am by no means a perfect storm. I have sometimes caused trouble that I have later regretted. But the good thing about a tornado, is, unlike most storms which have no discipline or method, the tornado strikes with precision while pursuing a stormy but straighter and more narrow path. As, a child, I can recall looking over the shoulders of my older siblings as they planned an act of civil disobedience at Bowman High School after two students, one Black; one White got into a fight and only the Black student was suspended from school. They intelligently organized, planned, and led a peaceful walk out to resist their early encounter with racism. The year was near 1970, as I was about 10 years old. I did not attend the same school as they did, but I heard of how successful it was. I became proud and gained more understanding as to my need to become a more focused storm. God keeps placing me inside of movements which shake the foundation of our state and nation. I am blessed to have been born for such a time as this. I am blessed to have met my wife who accepted me as the storm I was born to be, but gracefully helped to shape me into a storm which has more discipline; a storm which has more of a method to his madness; a storm which has been divinely adjusted with more precision for the purpose of traveling a straighter and narrow path where God is in front tearing down all forms of evil which gets in the path toward justice. I believe I was born to serve as a natural disaster to those houses built on the foundation of lies while using the walls of oppression and discrimination; its door which leads to freedom has been cemented closed. I am talking about a land where many of its biggest houses are built as the one mentioned with a roof which is tiled with the shingles of injustice. I was sent as one of those tornadoes to tear down such houses, while stirring up the weeds and bad soil around it. At the end of the storm, you will find the emergence of a rainbow penetrating the dark clouds of deceit, propaganda, and bigotry. This rainbow at the end of the storm exemplifies the love, unity, support, confirmation, and hope from the various types of good people such as you! Thank you for the love you have provided in the midst of the storm! In fact, it is love which makes this storm so powerful. It is love which makes this storm full of Gods wrath! So whether you were born to be the tornado, thunder, lightening, an earthquake, or monsoon, when we come together, the house of oppression can not stand. Because our love, anger, compassion, outrage, and unrelenting action on behalf of the poor and oppressed makes us the perfect storm.
