ON THE DEPORTATION OF ABOUT 70 IBOS TO ONITSHA BY LAGOS STATE GOVT! Governor Raji Fashola (SAN) of Lagos state is one governor in the country that I respect so much, because of his unprecedented performace and scintillating record at transforming Lagos to a mega city. However, his government decision in deporting about 70 Ibos to Onitsha is quite lugubrious and condemnable as it is clearly a breach of their fundamental human rights of assembly, association and movement. Its shocking that at a time we are preaching "One Nigeria" this kind of discriminatory action which is capable of threatening the very peace of our country will be taken by Governor Fashola led government who is a doyen of law. I call on the Lagos state government to reverse this obnoxious decision for the sake of peace and harmony and I urge South-East governors not to retaliate but rather find an amicable resolution to this ugly development.
