ON THE ROAD with M’Liss – DINNER with OUR FAMILY Dinner was wonderful, surrounded by our granddaughters, Nicole and Roslyn, and their parents, Alexander and Jamie. We had met at out hotel, a Homewood Suites, equidistant between our Nut Farm, the airport and our son, Alexander and his family’s new home. Early tomorrow Michael and I will be flying to Houston, TX for the Fall International Quilt Market; however, the high point of this trip has already been met. Earlier, Michael plucked pumpkins from his garden, both large and small bringing them with us to the mainland. Just prior to dinner, Alexander and he led Nicole and Roslyn down into the parking lot and opened our car trunk. They both gasped with glee at the numerous orange globes that where now theirs. Roslyn and Jamie each picked out their favorites and our son Alexander loaded them into his pickup. The granddaughters helped, in spite of the heavy drizzle that has dampened the Pacific Northwest…Best part for Nicole and Roslyn was that all the pumpkins in the trunk were for them! They took several loads to their father’s pickup eager to begin carving their Jack’O Lantern’s. As I said, dinner was Wonderful…Early flight; it is time to turn in… Next stop, Houston, Texas!
