ON THE WAY TO MY HIGH PLACE Posted: 28 Oct 2013 04:00 AM PDT ON THE WAY TO MY HIGH PLACE By Musa Mwajim Genesis 1:26 KJV “And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” Right from creation God made everything to reproduce after its kind, (Genesis 1:21-27). Even God made man in His image and after His likeness. So, if our heavenly Father is the most High God, we are not permitted to be the most lowly of creatures. On mango trees are mango fruits. Inside mango fruits are mango seeds that have the potential to become mango trees. So if you are a child of the most high God, inside of you is the seed of greatness. No matter your level or where you are right now, a high place is your destination. Even if you are a cleaner, you shall surely end up in the height of life. If you are a drunk with that mentality, you will refuse every form of littleness in your life. By divine ordination no one is permitted to fail because the God we are serving is not a failure. Believe it in your heart, be drunk with that mentality! Wherever you are, you are just in transit, you are just moving and you will soon get there if you follow the shepherd. (Deuteronomy 32:9-13) Many crises in the Body of Christ today are traceable to lack of divine direction. Everybody is being led by self. You are counselling someone and he is saying ‘no, I have made up my mind’. Your mind is too small to lead you. Everything may look good to you, but it may not be good for you. “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” (Proverb 14:12). To every natural man, whatever he is doing is always the best. “All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits.” (Proverb 16:2) UNIQUENESS OF DIVINE LEADING When God leads, He goes before the led. He goes before the led and makes every crooked path straight. He goes before the led to remove every barrier out of the way. If you lead yourself, you may never know where there are potholes. The one leading you (God), knows what is at the other side of the bend. (John 10:4-5, Isaiah 45:1-3). When God is leading you, nothing can stand in your way. When God is moving, every gate opens of its own accord. We do not serve a dead god, we serve a living God! He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). HOW GOD LEADS DESIRE TO BE DIVINELY GUIDED In order for God to lead you, you have to desire to be divinely guided. You cannot guide or lead a man that is refusing to be led. When God was to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, He told Lot to come out of the land with his family. The husband who wanted to be led obeyed, but the wife was reluctant to obey the instruction and she became a pillar of salt. If you refuse to be led, God leaves you alone. What to do to stir up your desire for divine leading. 1. Recognize your need for divine guidance. You have to recognize that you are limited in size and scope. You have to recognize your inadequacies. The one that wants to lead you is an unlimited God. If you desire to profit, then you must follow God’s leading. (Isaiah 48:17. Psalms 32:8). God while leading you will focus on you to make sure you don’t miss your way (Proverbs 14:12;16:25). 2. Recognize your life-long need for divine guidance. As long as we live, we will forever need divine guidance. A time will never come when you will not need divine leading again especially as a child of God. For all eternity, we remain yhe sheep of His pasture, and every sheep will always need the guidance of the shepherd for survival. (Psalms 23:1-6) 3. His guidance is the guarantee for supernatural breakthrough in our pursuit. In whatever you do,divine guidance is the only guarantee for breakthrough. People breakdown in business, health, career, etc. because of self- leading. Self-leading leads to frustration and failure. Many marriages today are breaking down because they don’t follow divine guidance. For a lady, when a man proposes to her, she must ask him to give her time to genuinely enquire from God and be sure of what God is saying. (John 10:1-4, Psalms 24:7-10, Isaiah 48:17-21). BENEFITS OF GOD’S LEADING 1. Divine presence. (Exodus 33:11-13). When God gives you an assignment, He will surely go with you.(Mark 16:18-20). His Presence is guaranteed when God is leading you. He will never leave you alone. (Hebrew 13:5, Mathew 28:20, Psalms 23:4) 2. Supernatural Breakthrough. Jonah broke down because he was leading himself. (Jonah 3:1-10). Until he retraced his step back to what God was saying, he could not see light/breakthrough. Divine guidance guarantees supernatural breakthrough (Isaiah 45:1-3,48:17-21). I Pray for you that: 1. Every one of your tears shall be turned to celebration in Jesus Name! 2. As you receive God’s guidance, you shall receive supernatural breakthrough in Jesus’ Name! 3. As you are divinely guided, no obstacle will be able to stop or hinder your progress in Jesus’ Name. 4. No devil shall be able to be successful in tempting you, in Jesus’ Name. You shall definitely move to a higher place in Jesus Name. God Bless!!
