ON THIS DAY - July 6, 1916 WILLAURA CHILD THROW FROM A TRAIN. MOTHER CHARGED WITH MURDER. In connection with the finding of the body of an infant on the railway line near Willaura, on July 6, the coroner to-day found that the child was willfully murdered by the mother, Mary Winifred Frost, single, aged 19. She was committed for trial. A police sergeant in evidence said the girl signed a statement that she threw the child from a railway carriage window on the impulse of the moment, and since she had been too ill and afraid to report the matter.
