ON UNITY, PEACE and DEVELOPMENT [The Case of One Zambia One Nation]: Kindly note my dear and beloved friends, fellow citizens, that this history which we have collectively written as Zambians is a function of everyone. We are all active artists in the painting of the future of our country. Those that did not vote, through their acts of omissions, and those that did, through their acts of commission, all are responsible for the present, the status quo. We all matter. We must never demean nor insult each other. Humility in victory is a building block of societal harmony. Further, let us only firmly take responsibility of what we do and do not do. Let us allow the consequences of our action and inaction to enlighten us and transform us into better nation builders. I sincerely wish all of you well. The journey continues. As a people, we shall reach Canaan someday. I call upon the Republican President His Excellency Mr Edgar Lungu to provide/ensure security to all citizens. He must urge his supporters not to be violent in their celebration. Their joy must never be allowed to translate into the harassment of other citizens that they may perceive as not sharing their choice. Diversity is a strength of any community. We are one Zambia and one nation! And so it should remain. Aluta continua. And may God be with all of us. Natotela, mukwai!
