ONC FIRST ALERT FORECAST Evening Update Forecasts and Discussions from Brant, David, Ken, and Nick NORTHWEST (Defiance-Toledo-Lima) : Your weekend looks dry but early next week we will be seeing rain move into the area with the greatest chance on Monday and Tuesday. Late next week we should start drying out in the lower 60s to upper 50s. SOUTHWESTERN OHIO FORECAST DISCUSSION: (Cincinnati and Dayton): The high pressure ridge over the Great Lakes for this afternoon will head off the Atlantic Coast by Sunday evening. A warm frontal boundary will be developing to our South of the Ohio River on Sunday and begin to lift across our region for Sunday evening. A cold frontal boundary will then move through the region during the first half of next week. There is a liklihood, we could see some severe weather with some damaging winds and hail in the forecast NORTHEAST (CLEVELAND/AKRON-CANTON): A system bringing the potential of Showers and Thunderstorms Monday and Tuesday. The low pressure associated with that system is expected to be left behind and twirl around the state for a few days after the main system leaves, bringing intervals of sunshine and showers until the low is swept away by Friday. CENTRAL (Columbus-Newark-London): Another wet period begins tomorrow with showers moving in late in the day, then stormy intervals along and ahead of a cold front Monday/Tuesday. Severe weather is a possibility Tuesday, but there is lack of clarity with models. It will cool off a tad behind the front, but remain mild until next weekend, SOUTHEAST (Athens, Marietta, Ironton): A warm up will be in store with showery periods tomorrow, then rounds of storms Monday with possible severe weather Tuesday. A cool down will follow as a cold front passes through and a few lingering showers possible. Moderation of temps expected until next weekend!
