I joined an academy called Tops FC until I completed High School. At one point after school I worked as a Fitter and Turner but I opted to revert back to my calling. I joined ZPS Hwange. PREMIERSHIP DEBUT: I played for Eagles FC 2010 and our first game was against Monoz. CHALLENGES: Finances have been a major blow for the better part of my career. I have injuries too but they were minor. Despite knowing my capabilities, there are times when u PERSONAL HONOURS: 2012 Golden Boot Eastern Region with Hippo Valley; Hippo Valley Golden Boot award since in 2008/09/11/12; Silvia Dube winners 2011, ZNA Charity Shield2013; NETONE runners-up 2013. BEST ADVICE GIVEN: Ralph Kawondera (Flame Lilly coach), who took me from Hwange to Chiredzi. I should do my best and God will do the rest. TOUGHEST OPPONENT: Ben Nyahunzvi. MOST MEMORABLE GAME IN CAREER: Against FC Victoria when I scored two goals. OTHER SPORT YOU PLAY: Baseball. FORMER CLUBS: ZPC Hwange, Hippo Valley2011/12 and Eagles FC (2010). HIGHLIGHTS: Scoring a hat-trick against Black Mambas. It was my first set of three goals and being the first player to do so this season. MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENT: During my days at Eagles under Friday Phiri. I never had game time and the likes of Clive Kawinga where his favourites. TEAM SUPPORTED: Chelsea, Kaizer Chiefs, CAPS United and Real Madrid. HAVE YOU EVER MISSED A PENALTY? Yes, when I was still at school. I cried a lot. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE HATTRICK? It feels so good. I must salute my teammates. It also creates a special bond with fans. Seeing them celebrating with me was something I always wished for. I worked hard for those three goals and I hope they will open doors for more. STRENGTHS: I thrive on power and speed. I am also good in the air and I am a 90-minute player. WEAKNESSES: I have challenges in turning quickly. HOW ABOUT A RED CARD? Yes. I had insulted a referee last year. I regret and I learnt the hard way. BEST FIVE PLAYERS THIS SEASON: Arnold Chivheya, Hardlife Zvirekwi, Partson Jaure, Tendai Ndoro and Charles Sibanda. HOW DID YOU FIND YOUR WAY TO CAPS UNITED: It was through Mukhuphali Masuku. He would come and watch matches until he called me and Ronald Pfumbidzai last year to join him this year. CONTRACTED UNTIL: December 2015. WAS IT A SURPRISE TO YOU? Not really but it was a big step. I had somehow lost hope of returning to the top flight league. WHY DID YOU SNUB BOSSO? I had a soft spot for the Green Machine since I was a minor. CAPS IS STRUGGLING FINACIALLY, HOW ARE YOU MANAGING? I am concentrating with my career and God will provide for my needs. GOALS THIS SEASON: 4. DEBUT GOALS FOR CAPS: It was splitting pass from Hardlife Zvirekwi and I scored against How Mine. It restored my confidence after three games drought. BIGGEST JOKER AT CLUB: David Rediyoni and George Magariro. BIGGEST MOTIVATOR: Tapiwa Kumbuyani. FAVOURITE TEAMMATE: Tafadzwa Mahori. YOU WERE THE CAPTAIN AT HIPPO: I just respect my fellow senior players. SINCE YOUR ARRIVAL, WHO IS THE MOST IMPROVED PLAYER? Ronald Pfumbidzai adjusted quickly. I understand him well because we were teammates at Hippo Valley. His position was on demand but he is enjoying a purple patch. HOW ARE THE NEWCOMERS ADJUSTING TO OLD PLAYERS? We are at home. There and we play as a team. We just respect each other nekuti pabasa. TARGETS OF THE SEASON: I want do my best for the team and I am targeting a double figure (10).We are aiming for a top four finish as a club. WHATS YOUR DREAM TEAM LOCALLY (ZIM)? CAPS United. BEST COACHES WORKED WITH: Ralph Kawondera, Jostein Mathuthu, Takura Shariwa, Brenna Msisika and Taurai Manwgiro. BEST COMBINATION (NYAMANDWE/FIYADO): They are all good. It’s either I create and they score or they do the donkey work and I score. I am not at liberty to choose who to partner me but I just do my job. TAURAI MANGWIRO: His approach is awesome and professional. MAKEPEKEPE TEAMMATES: They are good. I give them credit for my form. They keep encouraging me. HOW ARE FANS TREATING YOU: They have been good to me. They were patient with me until I got my first goal which came after three matches. The more we win, the more they come to support us at matches. WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN FIVE YEARS TIME? Every player wants to secure a lucrative deal abroad. I still looking forward to that LIFE AFTER FOOTBALL: I want to venture into coaching.
