ONE COUNTRY ONE TEAM: Ebola has many dimensions (poverty, economics, dysfunctional health systems, disrupted ecosystems, corruption), which should all be dealt with. But at the moment one of the urgent needs is for good clinics staffed by disciplined people who can deal with this disaster in this complex context and work with local colleagues. At the current state of affairs, 50 of such clinics are needed in the 3 countries, 30 have already been pledged. 20 more need to be staffed. We are working in Europe on a concerted action One Country One Team to urge all EU countries to at least help to run one clinic. In the Netherlands, many parties with links with Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinee are discussing the possibility of this, in addition to the fantastic efforts already undertaken by some.
