ONE LIE TOO MANY PART 15 Dad finishes work at 3pm but mum was at home cooking as usual, its 3pm on the dot so dad should be home in 15mins so when we walked in i introduced Taylor to mum, mum and i have an unbreakable bond, i love her with all my heart and consider her my best friend, mum welcomed Taylor with opened arms which i was happy about, my dad on the other hand is a hard man, your typical island dad, over protective and strict but he means well... Just then Sam arrives home (me thinking oh sh*t) Sam: Sup uce, what you doing here? Taylor: Sup gee, just here to talk to your parents Sam had a confused look on his face thinking the heck is going on Sam: Aye ? what for? I interrupted their lil awkward convo Me: Its for me Sam: what did u do this time just then dad walks through the door and my heart drops..i really wanted this over and done with cause to be honest i fully sacked it lmao Me: um dad can i talk to you Dad: Ia, o le a? Sam: Gee lets go outside for abit, i wanna talk to u ( saying this to taylor) man was i so happy he was there otherwise i would have embarrassed myself in front of him lol Me: O le uo lea o au lea sau e kalagoa ia o lua ma mum ( my boyfriend is here to talk to you and mum) Dad: (dad looks at me and scratches his head) e lelei le ga kama (is he a good boy?) Me: Yea i reckon hes alright Dad: O fea ga lua masagi iai ma le ga kama? (where did u meet him) Me: At a party dad Dad: Eh!!... kau fai ma kuu lou kaa soo (you need to stop going out too much) I literally rolled my eyes, ive heard it so many times zzzz lol Dad: o se a gaia? o se samoa? (is he samoan?) Me: yeah hes Samoan Dad: ia fai ai e omai ma Sam (tell him and Sam im ready to see them) I walk outside to get him and i find him and Sam laughing and shaking hands Sam: (looks at me) Man your tricky, when were u going to tell me? Me: Aaaahhh never, i dont need your approval just mum and dads Sam: (shaking his head) Uce goodluck with this one, her mouth never malolos (rests) lol Taylor: Man gee tell me about it, she talks waaaaay too much Me: shutup idiot, Dad wants to see you. Both of yous. They both followed me into the lounge where dad was sitting reading his matai (chief) book. Dad: Alu sou afefige e sue mai se solo e solo iai ou maka (go find me a handkerchief to wipe my eyes with) dad has hay fever so his eyes are always watery. To me it was his excuse to get me outta the room. *it took me 30mins to look for one* lol!!!! i honestly did not wanna go back in there hahahaa. Mum walks into my room. Mum: Oka se leva ga e alu e sue mai le solosolo a lou tama (your taking far to long to look for a handkerchief for ur dad) Me: I cant find one mum Mum: Good on you for bringing your boyfriend to meet dad, now he is free to come over whenever he wants (she said it in samoan, i just dont know how to write it out in samoan, well i tried my best lol). I hear my dad calling out to me again dad: NORA! nevermind i found it (in samoan) Walking towards the lounge Sam, Taylor and Dad were all laughing but i dont know why Dad: Now you are apart of our family, the door is always open, ae faoga faalelei lua ulu, e leo se mea faigofie le mea lea o le fai uo, faamakua le lua mafaufau o lou faotuaga ga mo olua..(use your heads wisely, relationships are not easy, be mature with your actions, this is my advise to u both) im off to pick up the girls from school (i have 3 sisters) Im standing there thinking what the heck just happened. Sam gets up and punches Taylor on the arm Sam: Welcome to the family uce, you were saaaacking it lol Taylor: Nah gee your old mans alguds. Oh gosh was i glad that was over haha i felt like a huge weight has been lifted of my shoulders.
