ONE MAN AND HIS DOG - Born and bred on a rough east London estate John Dolans early life was one of neglect and abuse, and his childhood gift for drawing was stamped out by lifes harsh reality. As he grew older, he found himself battling class A drug abuse, life in prison and subsequently periods of homelessness. However a chance encounter with a tearaway Staffy puppy, George, changed the the path of his life forever. Within weeks of meeting, John and George had become inseparable. It was his love for him that inspired John to pick up his long-forgotten gift for drawing sketching pictures of George which he would sell to passers-by on the street.
