ONE MASSACRE TOO MANY : President Uhuru Kenyatta’s - TopicsExpress

ONE MASSACRE TOO MANY : President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Administration; A Big Joke!of the modern democracy. First off, I’ll like to sympathize with the family of those who have lost their lives and property in LAMU County and others due to insecurity challenges. I will take this opportunity because, since Uhuru donated coffins and some basic provisions to people of #Mpeketoni, he has not seen it worthy to visit in person, as the sole person who took a solemn oath to PROTECT & DEFEND Kenyans at large. Nevertheless, WS Ruto went after Hindi attack and made some waiganjo declarations of 48hrs Dead or Alive! When innocent, harmless and defenseless men, women and children become the targets of these heartless murderous bandits; when the lives of sleeping children are so callously snuffed out, it becomes clear that these agents of terror have murdered sleep and they henceforth deserve none. It pains my heart as a Kenyan,Whatever grievances the terrorists harbor against the government of #Uhuruto, innocent citizens have nothing to do with it. The Lamu residences bear no responsibility for either policy making or policy implementation in Jubilee Goverment not to mention the past governments . It is therefore an act of cowardice worthy of ringing condemnation to target these people, to strike at those who are not only innocent but are also unable to strike back or defend themselves. There can be no reason, no justification and no acceptable excuse for this act of mindless brutality. Whatever message the terrorists set out to send to the #Uhuruto government has been drowned out by the cries for justice by the blood of these innocent martyrs. To remember these innocent people of #Mpeketoni #Hindi and other victims of violence in this country, that government need to declare “A day of mourning” to express our collective outrage on these killings that have gone on for far too long. A day of Mourning it should be a day not a day to apportion blames. It is a day for the expression of our sense of personal and national loss. But it should also be a day for us to look for concrete solutions. If #Uhuruto cant do it, I will request His Royal Highness H.E Dr.Engr.Raila Amolo Odinga(Peoples President) to set a side a day of his choice so that the Nation can have another public holiday, gather at Independent Square a.k.a UhuruPark to commiserate with the people of Lamu! In the light of a heart-wrenching tragedy like this, our people must now see that those political, sectional and sectarian differences that have made it impossible for us to present a united front against our challenges are petty and self-absorbed. If a tragedy of the #Lamu magnitude does not bring us together as one nation, if the loss of our innocent citizens humanity does not unite us in grief, then we need to ask ourselves if we truly meet the basic spiritual requirements of nationhood; or are we a failed state! My parting shot; The World pities our nation! SAD INDEED. Pity the nation divided into fragments, each fragment deeming itself a nation.-Khalil Gibran (The Garden of the Prophet - 1934)
