ONE RACIST STINKY, LISPY BLOKE APOLOGIZED One busy-to-the-brim Tuesday afternoon, alone during registration, testing, opening of classes, where I wore hats of the director-partner, teacher, receptionist, cashier, secretary, an altercation ensued between Me and a haughty applicants father. With the reception full of parents and students, I told everyone to wait for his/her turn. One hunchy little middle-aged Bahraini-naturalized North African (of, I suspected, pharaohs descent), insisted arrogantly to be attended to before others. After telling him charmingly with habibi to wait for his turn, he looked at me contemptuously, and spat out scornful expressions. His utterance did not please my ear. Instantaneously, my blood shot up my nape, and my incessant mouth boomed. I: I do not want trouble. Out of the door! I do not need you. He: You are just a staff. You are not the owner to tell me out. Go back to your work! I: I am the owner of this Center! He: Impossible! Owner? Filipini? Impossible! I: (slamming the receipt book and pen, with dinars strewn about the counter) Am giving you seconds to leave! OUT OF THE DOOR! You dont want to leave??!!! (about to walk out of the counter to confront him physically, the son, 17, came on in between to apologize) Son: No trouble. No trouble. I want to study here. That asinine father took out his cellphone, and talked to someone. As he was, I went back to registering, cashiering, giving placement tests, issuing books, sorting out parents and teachers concerns ... Meanwhile, two teacher-applicants were waiting for interview, and a couple of junior kids who were waiting for their parents for pick-up were left in the reception. As I directed his son for the placement test, the arrogant, racist asshole came forward to apologize, and shook my hand. Someone who recommended the Center for his son must have told him off on the phone. He walked toward the reception door, left, but with his body stench lingering.
