Location: Andheri East (Near Chinai College) Time: 0755 hrs Date: 21st November 2014 On this day, Vivek Kadam (Head Constable, I think) helped a struggling disabled man get a ride. The disabled man was clearly struggling to get a auto-rickshaw to stop for him. Mr. Kadam crossed the road, spoke to him for a second, stopped a passing auto and instructed the auto-rickshaw to help board the passenger. When I spoke to Mr. Kadam to ask for his permission to take his snap, he said, Aamhi changla kaam tar rojach karto, pan public aamhala fakt shivyach dete! (We do this kind of a work everyday, but for public always considers us as Bad people.) I said, Mhanunach, public la tumch ha roop pan disnh garjech aahe. (This is why, the public should also be enlightened about the Good side of Mumbai Police.) Hope the Police Commissioner of Mumbai, takes note of this.
