Teach First NZ is offering 20 scholarships to talented and passionate graduates to join an innovative 2-year Leadership Development Programme aimed at tackling educational inequality. You will receive a full-time salary while teaching and studying part-time, as well as a fully funded Postgraduate Diploma in Secondary Teaching qualification from the University of Auckland. We are seeking students with leadership aspirations who are passionate about their subject and want to make a difference with the skills and experience they have gained through their degree. For the two years of the programme, you will be placed in a secondary school serving a lower-decile community in Auckland, Northland or Whangarei. Full training and wrap-around support is provided to ensure you have the confidence and skills to excel and make an impact. We are looking for graduates and career professionals with a background in Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Te Reo Māori or English at degree level (or competence in Te Reo Māori alongside another degree).
