ONE of the flagship shows on Irish TV on Sky 191 this Christmas will be recorded live in Claremorris Town Hall this Wednesday night, December 3. Entertainment Ireland will feature two hours of music and chat and will be among the shows at the heart of the Christmas schedule on the new station. Artists who will feature on the Claremorris show include Johnny McEvoy, Dolores Keane, Eleanor McEvoy, Susan McCann, comedian Noel V. Ginnity, Frank McCaffrey, John Hogan, Na Fianna and the Redmond School of Dancing. The show will be hosted by Henry McGlade. I have been asked to present the Legends Corner as part of the show and I will be introducing and interviewing country legend Gene Stuart as well as Sam ODoherty from Tipperary who is sure to be a huge hit on the night. (I have already recorded a short interview with Big Tom which will be inserted into the show). Michael Fox will introduce Olwyn Murray, Ann Marie Riordan and Ciaran Rosney, Kevin Griffiths, producer of Entertainment Ireland and MD of Claremorris based Frame Productions, says that they are delighted to be bringing this first Christmas show from the stage of the newly refurbished Claremorris Town Hall. This is a great boost for Claremorris and the new-look Town Hall Theatre which will be hosting its first major show. People are travelling from all over the country to the show with a nice contingent already booked from Tipperary. Tickets for the show, which are expected to be in major demand, are available at €20 each from Frame Productions at 094 9372901, The McWilliam Park Hotel, Smyths Newsagency, and The Music Mega Store in Castlebar. Early booking is advisable. Patrons are asked to be in their seats by 7.45pm ahead of the live recording which starts at 8pm. Please share this notice and help spread the news. Thanks, folks!
