ONLINE WORLDWIDE SACRED ASSEMBLY – Day 7 THE RETURN OF GOD’S GLORY When Solomon’s temple was completed according to divine plan, God was pleased to fill it with His glory (2 Chronicles 7:1). Solomon’s temple is now gone, and we the Church are God’s temple. Is He pleased to fill our temple with His glory? Apostle Peter calls us “living stones” of God’s house (1 Peter 2:5). Apostle Paul says that we are “fitly framed together” as God’s holy temple, “and a dwelling place for God in the Spirit” (Eph 2:21,22). To understand this illustration, you need to visualize how a temple was constructed. Each stone had to be chipped away into a proper shape according to the builder’s specifications. Then each rock was perfectly fitted into its proper place in the wall. No rock could be out of line. If God was pleased with His temple, He filled it with His glory. We as living stones need to be chipped away according to God’s specifications. Certain aspects of our lives need to be chipped away in order to form a proper block for God’s temple. Not only do we need to be chipped away, we also need to be “fitly framed together” that is, we blocks need to be assembled together in a straight line to make a proper wall. If we want God to inhabit our churches with His glory, none of us can be “out of line.” Oh, let us be chipped away until we are pleasing to God! Let nothing be out of line in our lives so that we miss God’s glorious Presence! I have the privilege of praying with a dynamic group of Spirit-filled prayer warriors. Our goal each time is to passionately pursue God’s glory. Over the last few months, God was revealing aspects of my life that needed chipping away. As I surrendered to God’s “chipping,” we saw an increase in God’s revelation. For example, God revealed that He was going to show up mightily at our General Assembly. We could see holy fire engulfing the Miracle Center. We could see people being healed when they stepped on the property. When we got to the General Assembly, we were not disappointed. A lady reported that she was having difficulty walking until she placed her feet on the steps of the Miracle Center. Another man was healed of a fever during the prayer service. I taught the need for living stones to be “chipped away,” and to be “fitly formed” together. During people were gently asked not get “out of line” by drawing attention to themselves with loud clapping, singing, or praying. As a result, we felt the peace, the “shalom” of God’s presence throughout the sanctuary. By the last day of the assembly, the presence of God was so strong, all one could do was kneel prostrate before the Lord, and weep and worship at His throne. God’s glory had returned. We have all gone home from the General Assembly. I hope those who were there learned there was a price to be paid for the glory. We had to have our sins chipped away, and we had to remain in line with each other. The glory of God is a pearl of great price and is worth the sacrifice. I hope that you have been able to teach this to your churches and prayer groups. If God’s glory has not returned to you, your prayer group or your ministry, allow God to chip away your stony self until you are pleasing to Him. Allow nothing to pull you out of line and away from His glory. You do not want to miss God’s glorious Presence! Let us pray: “Father God, I pray that people everywhere are learning how to be chipped away as living stones and how to be fitly formed into a temple that is made according to Your specifications. I pray that you are pleased with them and bless them with the glory of Your Presence. I pray that they are able to bring this message to others so that prayer groups and ministries can be revived with your glorious presence. I pray that lives are changed, ministries are changed and nations are changed. It is for Your glory, honor and praise that I pray, in Jesus’ name. Amen.” God bless you Glory of God seekers!
