OOMCZ (Out of My Comfort Zone) #1 Tonight I attended a Prophetic - TopicsExpress

OOMCZ (Out of My Comfort Zone) #1 Tonight I attended a Prophetic Painting Experience. This is definitely out of my comfort zone. Im a writer - NOT a painter. There is something intimate about painting for me. Its not something that people look at (and judge). So, I leaped out of the zone. And Im leaping out of it even further as I share it with you. Interestingly, my painting is a story. The instructions were to just paint as we were lead. There was music playing, which played a role somewhat as I painted. We were first instructed to choose 3 - 5 colors that make us happy. I chose a dark red, which was darker than I expected, but I decided to keep it anyway. Then I chose a bright red, because, it is my favorite color. Next I chose purple. Purple was my moms favorite color. Did you know today was the four year anniversary of her party in heaven? I had lost track of days and didnt realize until I was on my way home from the prophetic painting experience that today was the day. Next I chose a grey, followed by white. I poured the colors on my palate as if they were a face. You can see it in the first picture. First I did these little things on the bottom. I still dont know what they are, but someone said they look like people dancing. I like that way better than backward Fs. I then painted an umbrella. I love umbrellas! Then I put dark dots on the canvas. I later covered them with red, followed by white. As I covered them I knew they were sin spots, covered by His blood, then white as snow. Eventually they were blended into the canvas. Then the music played and a phrase about Jesus loving us played over and over. A heart emerged on the canvas. Then the storm raged in the sky. The first picture is when she had us stop painting. We turned the painting sideways, then upside down. When I turned the painting upside down it hit me that the umbrella, which brought me comfort (Holy Spirit) from the storm, was now seen as a burning bush. (God) I thought of how He led the people out of Egypt with a pillar of fire. I added yellow. Thats when it hit me that my painting is when Heaven and Earth Collide. I drew a line separating the two, but there is no clear distinction. Right side up, or upside down, its still, Heaven and Earth. Then the instructor gave us some black. I drew a cross with the black. I thought, Its done. I looked. I prayed. I turned it again. Then I dipped my finger in one of the reds and got a glob on my finger. I put that glob of blood right in the center of the painting. It.is.finished.
