OPEN CLASS (Spring) Have you ever had the desire to work backstage on an incredible production? Are you interested in mastering all the latest theatrical construction techniques and technology? If so, the Theatre Arts Department is offering our Technical Stage Production class this spring. Students will gain the fundamentals of theatrical stage construction, work hands on with the latest lighting and sound equipment, and explore alternate and innovative creative techniques such as welding, LED lighting technology, and computer controlled sound production. The class will meet in our state-of-the-art scenic shop that features a wonderful working and learning environment for both the casual learner and technology savvy student. Spaces are limited, so enroll right away to ensure you have a seat. The class is taught by Michael Gend: an award-winning professional from the Los Angeles and New York City theatre industries. The class will be taught in the NEWLY RENOVATED THEATER ARTS SCENE SHOP IN THE PERFORMING ARTS CENTER.
