OPEN ENROLLMENT FOR AFFORDABLE CARE ACT (ACA) – NOW IS THE TIME & HELP IS AVAILABLE Cover Arizona, a coalition of organizations, is on deck in communities across the state to help educate and enroll people in ACA. There are members of the Cover Arizona coalition that are trained to sit down with individuals one-on-one, answer questions and help guide them through the enrollment process. Close to 90 percent of individuals enrolling in health insurance are receiving some form of financial assistance. (Diane Brown, Exec. Dir. Public Interest Research Group-PIRG) The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services reports that more than 8 million Americans have enrolled for coverage under the Affordable Care Act. According to Enroll America, more than 120,000 people in Arizona enrolled in the ACA during the first open enrollment period earlier this year.
