OPEN LETTER TO CDE ANDILE LUNGISA Dear comrade leadership of the EC province, Let me first congratulate you on your election onto the PEC of the EC. I would have written to you last weekend but I was busy with organizational work and preparing the celebration of the ANCYL that is coming this weekend. It is always a pleasure to see the young lions being elevated and entrusted with responsibility to lead the ANC structures at upper level. We saw the likes of Cde Sihle Zikala ascending to be the PS of KZN, we saw Cde Julius Malema ascended to PEC of Limpopo. How can we forget the WC secretary Cde Songezo. Every time I see a leader of the YL ascending to the ANC leadership in upper structures, it confirms that the ANCYL remain a proper platform to fund the ANC with creditable and reliable leadership. And therefore we shall never run dry of leadership in the ANC as long as the ANCYL remain relevant and revolutionary at all time. It is not in the culture of the ANC and other structures of the MDM from engaging in the open letter, special with the recent festival of open letters. However it is important that some of the misguided energies and military that we saw being paraded by people we hold high esteem as graduate of the ANCYL. We get worried that we have to respond in this manner. Your recent article on New Age and subsequent radio interview with the Power FM left me wondering if the ANCYL is still capable of producing leaders to the ANC. Your public spat with the National Convener of the ANCYL Cde Mzwandile was very unfortunate and never inspire confidence special on the eve of the election. Calling the leadership of the ANCYL whether elected or appointed, it is comradely to refer to a fellow leader as useless and lazy special in the public platform. The manner in which you raised your critic, left the membership not concentrating on the merit and the demerit of your content, but questions the manner in which you raised them. The public spat is a component of the new tendency that led to the disbandment of the ANCYL NEC. On its own it qualifies to be an act of treason and counter revolutionary. It weakens the rebuilding processes and it poses a threat on the ability of the ANCYL to affirm its revolutionary position in the society, if the former leaders seek to rule from the grave. Coming to the content of the issues you raised, you raised two important issues which can be quantified, as of others they remain emotional rhetoric from you. I don’t think it’s human to call someone lazy and useless on a national media platform. Hence I consider that remark emotional rhetoric. The issues that I think they deserve to be look at are the issue of NTT parading themselves as potential MP and MPLs in the coming election, The other issue which is a subsequent result of the former, which is directly benefiting from opportunities of being deployed to parliament. Cde Andile you seem to have suffered from immediate amnesia ever since you were disbanded. The ANCYL has advocated for generational mix and access to opportunities by young people, special on the strategic level of our economy. Yourself and other you were a beneficiary of such policy position and no one dare to question the end results. You were a chairperson of NYDA, the DSG of the ANCYL was the CEO (Cde Steven) and the spokesperson was the COO (Cde Magdeline). Even in the provinces and local government I can spend a day giving you list of ANCYL leaders who were occupying office in the ANCY and directly benefiting from strategic deployment in the government. Some are MEC, some are MMC and while others are serving at agencies of the state. Unless you are saying to us Cde Lungisa that if a person resume position of responsibility is therefore not suitable to benefit from any deployment. Such views will be problematic because one does not cease to be a person who is ambitious and optimistic about personal development and growth by occupying a position of leadership in the movement. The principle that you are advocating is that to say from president till the last BEC member of the ANC must not be deployed while in office, that to me is very naive and lack political maturity. You cannot raise such views to say that the ANCYL NTT cannot be legible for any deployment; special after your term of office was characterized by such patronage and centralization of deployment into close key allies of the commander in chief of the revolution. We cannot allow you to lead from the grave and your action warrant a urgent action by the ANC. It is questionable that a leader can revoke a position of leadership and restore it when and where it suits him. It is questionable that you will opt to weaken the league special when it’s on its weakest stage of its existence. Cde Samora Mashele warns us of the counter revolutionary from within. These are the guerillas who cambaflags as one of our own, while in an actual sense they are the agent of the imperialist. They occupy critical position in the movement and they do everything to win the trust and confidence of the constituency, while their agenda is to destroy from within. They speak our language and dine with us, while they are not for us. The Judas Iscariot of this world manifest in different ways, but at least now that the signs are clear, we shall guard against such individuals. The ANCYL is in the hands of the NTT currently, it’s a decision taken by the organization and all should work towards assisting the sitting leadership to realize the mandate, not to wait patiently for their mistake to capitalize on them and expose their weakness. Airing one dirty laundries does not make your clean in their closet. The enemy from within is very dangerous than a declared terrorist. Please Cde Lungisa provide leadership in this critical stage of the revolution and stop leadership bashing, the struggle for emancipation of youth did not end when you benefited, it continues till all the young people are absorbed into position of opportunity to eradicate poverty and have access to economic inflow. The call for generational mix did not expire when you were elected into the PEC of the EC, but it continue till every youth leaguer benefit in the fruits of democracy. Yours in the struggle Hope to see you in Limpopo this weekend as my friend Tsekiso will say that you have a tendencies to apologies. so it please do apologize my cde Lungisa.
