OPEN LETTER TO Chelan High School teacher and coach MARTY ROTHLISBERGER I see that helping run me out of town and rendering me unemployed was not enough. You actually testified against me just for my unemployment benefits? Wow. It must be nice to be so insulated and union protected that you can lose all sense of common humanity while teaching our kids about conflict resolution and bullying and the First Amendment. What a crock. And tell me: What damage did I do to you and your family? How much money did any of you lose? Did anyone lose their job? Be forced to move out of town? Leave your crippled mother behind in a senior care facility? Cause one of my girls to miss an entire semester of college? Tell. me. seriously. What more could you want? I lost my job. Left town. and now you want me to lose a few more thousand dollars? Why? Revenge? To teach me a lesson? What? Please I want to know in your mind and conscience makes you believe that I need to suffer even more? And this is why people like teachers and their unions and coaches less and less each day. Because you are not the people you claim to be and you have absolutely nothing to lose. You, Marty, are a coward and a bully who cant kill me enough. Maybe you can go up to Regency Manor and explain to my Mom why she will live the rest of her life there alone. Or look in the eyes of my daughter and explain to her why she has to work two jobs and live with friendsl and explain to my wife who is living with her mother in Missouri, why you feel the need to punish me even more. Why? Do you like playing God? Are you so insulated from the concept because of your union you can never be unemployed? The press is still free and you have now become a subject for another hearing in which I will get to cross examine you. And you have now become involved in at least two civil law suits in which my attorney will sue you for damages because you swallowed Forhans bait in your bloodlust. I cant wait until my attorney gets you on the stand. And the best part is, you will lose and you will have to pay ironically because you are a civil servant and we can attach your wages. And in case you think Ive learned a lesson, if I had to do it all again, even knowing that someone like you would react like a tyrant, and it would cost me all of this, I would still do it because thats what journalists do. They write the truth. And I wrote the truth. And you and all your boycotter fiends never once challenged any of the facts. And By God, many of the people in your community supported what I did there. In fact, it was the members of the search and rescue team who leaked the story to me because they felt duped and it cost taxpayers $600,000 to search for a guy who didnt want to be found. I will file an appeal and i will get a chance to cross examine you and it will be easy to challenge your credibility because it will be obvious why you are doing what you are doing. Enjoy your union protection. I wish for just a few minutes you could understand how it feels to work in the real world where literally one idiot like Bill Forhan can hold your future in their hands. If I lose the unemployment benefits too, will that be enough? Or will you track me down and make sure I can never ever work again anywhere? Is that what you want? When does it end, Marty? You have an open forum here. How much pain do you have to cause until you feel vindicated? Is that what you are teaching your students, athletes and children? Finally, your BS will be exposed to your community for everyone to read, starting here and now. And when the law suits come, every media connection I have and every enemy Forhan has (there are many of both) will write stories about your cowardly actions to crucify one man who you feel did some incredible damage to your family. Remember, this time you dragged me and yourself into this. I cant imagine what any rational person will think of your actions.
