OPEN LETTER TO HRH OBA RILWAN BABATUNDE AKIOLU-OBA OF LAGOS. Good morning HRH.Ki ade o pe lori ki bata pe lese.Ikeji Orisa Moju ba oo.Ki irukere pe lowo.Idobale mo wa ooo kabiyesi... HRH,i am deeply worried and bitter over the issues of governance and politics in Lagos state.Sir the issues of non -indigene steering the leadership of lagos state is worrisome.The likes of other first class Obas in Ondo,Ogun,Osun,Ekiti and others wont support a non-indigene to steer the leadership of their states.Never,it wouldnt happen right before their eyes. Kabiyesi,if you remember vividly your stand against Dr Hamzat whom you said cannot steer the leadership of lagos because his father is a king in Ogun state.That is to say Dr Hamzat is not qualified to lead or become the governor of lagos state being that he is not a true son of lagos state. Sir,if that be the case why the support for Mr Akinwunmi Ambode who is not a true son of Lagos state.I think what applies to the goose should also applies to the gander.I am of the opinion that justice,fairness and equity should be in place in the politics of today. The implication of a non indigene steering the leadership of lagos is farther than what we see at the moment.The likes of Leke Pitan,Sasore,Dr Tola Kasali,Ikuforiji and many sons and dsughters of lagos state who are much more qualified than Akinwunmi Ambode are in thousands why Ambode. HRH,our children and the generations to come what would be their fate as true chidren of Eko.How would the Ilajees and their Royals feel toward us the true children of lagos state. HRH,i beg thee dont trade our birthright for money or for anything else.Please dont trade our birthright as Esau did for Jacob because he never knew the consequence.Oh king please our birthright is our heritage which we shall pass down to our generation. Oh king think think think deeply of the grave consequence of your position because our children cannot claim to other states as their states of origin. On a final note if you remain resolute to support an Ilaje man as against the sons of Eko then the kingdoms shall lose it credibilty and the wrath of the true sons and daughters of Eko shall be upon your kingdom. Oh king oh king oh king please dont trade our birthright for anything else. Thank you.
