OPEN LETTER TO LOWER MANYA KROBO MCE & MP Thursday September 25, 2014 Hi Hon(s) We are certain this letter will find you in good health and at post. It’s become necessary that we carry through to you our FRUSTRATION in trying to arrange a meeting with the two of you- MCE and MP- to discuss PERTINENT issues plaguing your constituents. As the two political heads of the constituency/municipality, we acknowledge what role you CAN and HAVE to play in solving whatever problems there are in the area. As youth of the area, we have tried to come together to, in unison, give voice to the masses, many of whom may not have the opportunity to ever be heard (at least not as individuals) and particularly represent the interest of the Krobo state and drive everything positive while demanding our share of the GHANA CAKE. On two occasions, we officially wrote to you (the first on July 16 and the second on September 11) requesting a JOINT appointment with the two of you to discuss, among others, the Akuse boundary dispute and the Electoral Commission’s blatant disregard for the constitution, the Supreme Court etc. in respect of the boundary dispute. Strangely, none of the TWO LETTERS has been replied. As if that was/is not enough, no call has come through to give reasons why you are unable to host us for this very very important meeting. We felt the issue lined-up in the proposed agenda for the meeting were so critical to warrant a meeting at least a week after you were served the letters but that was not to be. From where we stand, we find this ADMINISTRATIVELY UNACCEPTABLE and for the MCE, this is not a good start with a group like Kloma Gbi and, for that matter, people who have offered to bring their expertise, time and resource (for free) to HELP YOU and assist in working to improve the quality of life of the people. Please let’s get things moving; IT’S ABOUT TIME !!! (Exactly what’s on our mind) SIGNED: KLOMA GBI MANAGEMENT
