OPEN LETTER TO MR PRESIDENT YOUTH CONCERNS ABOUT THE GENERAL STATE OF THE NATION It became unavoidably necessary as a patriotic and nationalistic citizen and a potential leaders of tomorrow to express our concerns on the deteriorating happening in our dear country which may ship-wreck the nation if something urgent is not done. Below are some key areas of our concern; 1. HEALTH SECTOR Health they say is wealth, and the fundamental basis of human functionality is healthy living. But in Nigeria we cannot boast of a standard healthcare centres, our hospitals has degenerated into a mere consulting clinic and those with a better facilities cannot even be assessed by a commoners because of the bill.Tears roll down my eyes when i read in one of the dailys that the doctors threatened to embark on strike. But i quickly console myself that if i have to cry only on the degenerated state of our health centres, then by the time i view all the sectors and cry my eye would have run out of water completely. No wonder, the minister of state for health resigned lately when he got an offer from the united state. He might have thought there is nothing to minister in Nigeria health sector when the government officials could not even consult their own health centre anytime they took ill. 2.EDUCATION SECTOR Education they say is the bedrock of every meaningful society. The more reason why all d developed countries prioritized and held their education sector to high esteem.Sir,i will not be disappointed if you claim not to be aware that the eduction sector has been on total paralysis with the prolonged industrial action emberked upon by their various staff unions.Even though, the university may be temporarily out of the strike for now leaving the polytechnic and colleges of education behind in hopless. This is happening because non of mr president or even mr president cabinet members school in Nigeria. As such they may think our been on strike is like been on holidays. 3.ECONOMY Its no longer news that Nigeria has gone into economy recession for decades now even though every government who come on board always pretend we are doing well. This is because those sectors which we know to be the major basis of economy of every country are not functioning in Nigeria.I dont want to comment on the last report by the suspended governor of CBN that $2Obillion was missing because even when no report of missing fund,Nigeria economy is no way better. 4.INSECURITY Sir.history briefed us that Nigeria was once a peaceful country, where every citizen regard theirselves as one.But as we advanced with age we came to realise that nigeria was not actual peaceful because we are problem free, but because the skin of our fore-fathers then was tough and tolerant enough to absorb all the suffering but as they continne to wallow in that suffering they gave birth to nowadays children with flexible skin which feel every single pain inflict by government policies and as such belief they cant tolerate such injustice that gave birth all sort of insurgency, kidnapping, ritual and robbery of today.Nobody would have gone to that extrem if the govt has been living up to d expection of her citizen. The major insurgency in the country is not that of BOKO HARAM or any illegal group but the major insurgency is been carried out by the government. Sir,do you know how many innocent citizen lose their lives as a result of non-functional health care centre?Do you know how many citizen lose their lives in ghasty motor accident as a result of our bad roads?Sir,do you want to know how many people has been sentenced by the same Nigeria judiciary for stealing tubbers of yam because they were hungry? Sir, what name other than insurgency will you give to all this atrocities of the government? I read recently in one of your good will message, that Nigeria should look beyond their differencies and embrace each other as one,but i want to put it forward to you sir that we will continue to look for our differnces and that we can never be one until the right thing is done. Sir,how do u want me to believe we are one when your children are schooling in abroad and we still manage to schl in d bad structure u gave to us as schl yet u have done noyhing to avert our 9months strike?Sir,how can we be one when you have 10 presidential jet yet u still budgeted to add another one when we trek bear footed with our legs.Or Sir,how do u make us believe we are one when our hungry neigbours who stole tubbers of yam were sentenced but those who stole billions of Naira were given national awards Sir,Nigeria have no problem but it is just that the citizen has grown wise to beleive if you have no reason to live, then u find a reason to die. On these observations sir,we kindly crave your indulgence to the afformentioned lopholes and by solving them we believe NIGERIA WILL BE GREAT AGAIN God bless Nigeria!!
