OPEN LETTER TO NWADIALA EMEKA WOGU Sir, Mazi. Kanka. I feel committed to write you this letter because I guessed you are a very powerful and important looking man that I may lose my composture if I was to address you in person. Regrettably, also, as a fellow Ngwa man (and more importantly Abian) I feel so concerned that reaching you today received priority. Sir, I received with shock the news that you have vacated your highly exalted position as minister of labour and productivity to pursue your ambition of becoming the governor of Abia State. I thought this was a joke until I read it on a foreign tabloid via the Internet. My question since then has been WHY? WHY?? Because I am convinced you alreeady know you are not going to be governor-at least not in the foreseeable future. You know we cannot have two governors at the same time. Again, because you know God made you Minister for a purpose-to empower you to help make sure Abians do get their fair share from the Presidency (a closeness with the President you enjoyed). Even at that you did nothing to alleviate our sufferings in this State of Abia. Your performance as privileged member of the FEC was nothing but less than poor. Outside SUREP which is a political campaign arm of Jonathan I wouldnt know what else you could boast of. The alleged employment I heard you assisted some people to get was just a normal compensation plan you gave to your boys as a party man. You did nothing about basic infrastracture which should have direct impart to the ordinary day-to-day Nigerian. No federal presence here at all. But, now you left that important Portfolio to return to us to elect you governor-the ordinary Abians will vote for you? Sir, how come every Ngwa man (even women) who have a little opportunity to serve his or her constitutuency now wants to be governor? How many of you elites will be governor at the same time? Now that you are back, let me sincerely remind you (and of course our elected officers in NASS) that Abians all the world is watching you all. They really want to see how the Ngwa people can put their house in order to produce a first-timer governor for the State. This is real taste as the incumbent governor have done his part to narrow his support for Ngwa governor which is a welcomed development. Now, that is where the trap is: all the Ngwa elites serving in the different positions will resign to run for governor as they are all greedy and selfish. The conspiracy is working. I guess you already know. My candid advice to you sir, is make sure you didnt throw that office away (which may not come to Ngwa again in the next 15 years) only to come and scuttle the Ngwa national agenda of producing and accpetable leader. Please. We, the youths shall no more tolerate sabotage of our collective dream. All of you must come together and choose a candidate you will support of Ngwa extraction instead of dividing our votes even in the primaries. Finally, I remind you political class that we will not in hurry forget any man who will contibute to failureof this mission. thank you sir. Francis Dimkpa, Presient, Grassroot Defenders of Nigerian Democracy.
