OPEN LETTER TO OGUN STATE GOVERNMENT Im most disappointed with the Ogun state Government with the continous delay of the payment of bursary for indigent Ogun state students in all our various tertiary institutions. Despite the promises by the State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun and assurances by the Special Assistant on students matters, Com. Olusegun Clement, the payment has yet to be made. Students in OOU and most tertiary institutions have not benefited from the bursary scheme since the inception of this present govt in 2011, other students in other states enjoy this benefit from their state govt but we in Ogun state which we ought to benefit have yet to. I hope the state Government would correct these anomalies and correct this in time, as students are tired of empty promises. Myself and some other students leaders have pacified students to bear with ur administration, but were tired of promises as well and demand Action with immediate alacrity. Some of our colleagues in Mapoly have also been crying over the non-reduction of their school fees despite the halaballoo abt the said reduction of school fees in all tertiary institution. A visit to the school website still shows students to pay arnd #85,000 for this session which is not too different from the last session Ogun state Students deserve more from this Government which we all contributed our quota to make it a reality- the role played by gallant OOU students leaders in 2011 which we supported ur govt becoz of the promises on 50%, prompt bursary payment etc Long Live Ogun State Long Live Nigeria
