OPINION!!! 8 compelling reasons why Messi deserved the Balon dor. 1. Messi has never dived desperately in order to get a penalty. Ronaldo shamelessly does it. 2. Messi is a team player who does not complain when other players do not pass to him. Ronaldo practically create a scene when a player goes for goal instead of passing to him. 3. Messi clearly enjoys football whilst Ronaldo often than not does not. (His gestures on the field of play shows) 4. We all know that Messis dribbling abilities is unparalleled when compared to Ronaldo. 5. Messi led Argentina to world cup final whilst Ronaldos Portugal was kicked out in the group stage. 6. Most Manchester United fans think Ronaldo should always be giving the Balon Dor just because he ever played for them, Messi on the other hand was was glued to just Barcelona hence has lower support base. Meanwhile Neuer has gotten Germans backing hence the Voting pattern. 7. Angel Di Maria who has been a team mate to the two players confirmed that Messi is a far better player when compared to Ronaldo. 8. Finally, Ronaldo is just a good finisher whilst Messi is an epitome of a complete player. Bottomline is Messi must consider playing for another team if he hopes to get more support base and subsequently win the Balon Dor again. Finally, Ronaldo winning of this years Balon Dor isnt the true representation of proceedings.
