OPINION from Naij reader Akinola Akinyemi Olalekan: The Beauty Of Life I was privileged to attend a federal unity school. Federal Government College, Ogbomoso precisely. And I always told my juniors that, the most interesting part of a boarding life is not living like a boss but being disciplined as a junior and then turning out to be a wonderful senior with something good to show for your 6 years. The same thing with life, the beauty of life isnt in its smooth sailing but in the challenges you face along the way. A man who always has things going his way hasnt really started living. Have you ever tried doing something, lets say a math sum for about a week? And at the end of the week, you were able to come up with the answer? What was your reaction? Im sure you must have smiled almost to the ear and jumped around in joy. When we are confronted with challenges and after a period of time, we overcome. Then, joy fills our hearts. Simply because challenges are like tests that once passed, leaves you in a more experienced position ahead of where you were before. What makes life beautiful is not in feeling good always but what makes it so beautiful is having some down moments and rising up above feeling good and start feeling great. The number of times a man rises higher after a fall Is what his life beautiful. Thats why even with all the keys and rules and principles, we still fall short sometimes. Not because God hates us or because God is a liar but because He wants our lives to be beautiful. God had the power but the children of Israel spent 430 years in bondage, so that when they got out, they would value freedom. Exams make us value promotion, tests make us value results, patience makes us value manifestation, sadness makes us value joy, devil makes us value God. In the same vein, challenges makes us value accomplishments. And thats the simple thing that makes life beautiful. God Bless You. Do you agree with this inspiring message?
