OPINIONS? Read recently, if the shoe was on the other foot, how would we react, or judge, or feel. Example: We are wearing our best formal wear waiting eagerly for our famous guest to show up to speak to us about the philosophy of Love. He is well renowned, and the best acquainted and prepared individual on this subject matter in the whole world. Suddenly the front door opens, and a man dressed in tattered jeans, and old T shirt, flip flops, and his ball cap on backwards is fumbling to get in, while desperately trying not to drop his brown paper sack full of presentation material. As he walks down the long corridor where his immaculately dressed audience is seated, the shock of whispers begin as he slowly approaches the podium. Unteathered by by their whispers, and seemingly unashamedly, he sat his brown paper bag of knowledge down on the floor by the podium, and began to teach. The question here most likely is what is the lesson inside this picturesque situation. The lesson is that the renowned guest speaker did not even notice what everyone else was wearing. Until we start looking past outside appearances, and even activities, we will never be able to embrace the Spirit that is inside all of us. Whether it was a leper or a king, the Christ only recognized the spirit, and the potential of such powerful LOVE that each one of us possess. So if we can allow our spirits to recognize the spirit of others, and the purity of love that our spirits are, then what they are wearing, their history, and what they are doing, will be unrecognizable in comparison to the LOVE in ALL of us. Wednesday LOVE!
